Ahh I remember the days in my youth when the power would go out for a week. We had a gas stove and a wood stove so all are our friends in the neighborhood would come over for dinner. The little store down the road would give away ice cream before it could melt. In my memory it happened at least once a winter.
Well we had some of those 50 mph gusts and my pasture was blanketed in snowthat the wind moved over into the driveway.. made a 5 foot pile along the drivewayand I hope It does NOT come again till this melts a bit.
Splendid. I heard them say on the radio this morning we're expecting gusts up to 70 mph.
Sunny, warm and no real wind today. That's really great because there are 3 uncontrolled wildfires in the area right now.

We're starting to have serious fire problems. A little rain yesterday should help but all the wind with it did a lot of damage.
Just spent a few minutes hiding in the basement from the tornado warning. Good thing there's beer down there for me and toys for the kids.
