Last year my elbow was killing me from shoveling snow.  This year - no problem.

Yeh, me too.    8)

Earthquakes?  Hah!  We eat earthquakes for breakfast around here.

The winter has been so wimpy here, the wife and I are talking about a trip to the UP.

Winter passed us by this year...for the most part.

Spring is coming fast.

It's 39F and clear.

Sunny days - freaking monsoon rains at night!  We got 4+ inches overnight, then sunny all day Sunday. Now that it's dark out the deluge has started again.

No big ting, cept rain-fade messes with my DirecTV.

Yesterday I got to ski 19 inches of fresh crazy light powder
with calm Colorado crystal blue skies.  8)

Not bad for my first lift served turns of what has been a crazy mild winter thus far.
I can concentrate on planning the garden now.

its 45 degrees at the Jersey Shore and we still haven't gotten any snow this year, i'm really bummed. :( We had 2 really really light dustings but if you blinked you missed it. I just want one really nice snowstorm, is that too much to ask?!?! :D

It was 24F when I came to work this morning but should be upper 60's by the end of the day.  But we're supposed to have gusts up to 35 mph later so it will be nasty dusty outside.

Mid 40s and raining here.  The mountains are supposed to get 4-7 inches of RAIN in the next 36 hours, and the snow line is going to increase so a lot of that rain will fall on snow, melting it.  Now the rivers are all on flood watch.

48F and partly cloudy as I type.

There's no sign of snow in the ten day forecast...we might skate through this winter without a significant snowfall afterall.  :-\

I noticed on Sunday the tulips, daffodils and irises are coming up out in front of the house.  Spring is either really early this year or all my Spring bulbs are about to die.  I guess we'll see.

The kids got to go sledding a grand total of once this winter.

It's supposed to be in the 40's today.   ::)

The lake in front of the lodge is frozen.  A light fog mixed with snow.  The fire in the hearth feels good. Was up by the Big Two Hearted river today. Saw a partridge. Was on the shore of the big lake.  The country that Hemmingyway and Harrison wrote about.  The UP is a special place.

Working out under the stars tonight shooting DSLR stop motion vid. A gozillion stars all around.  A nice change from the torrential rains. Kapea and Manai a Kalani (Southern Cross and Maui's Fishhook [Scorpio]) dominate the southern sky.
