Brewed a Pale Ale today.  I brew in our sunroom (pic below) and my wife said "why don't you move the outdoor thermometer in there and see what is says".

Did that and topped 110F during the boil.  Yikes, no wonder I was sweating so much!

I was kidding.  I was actually into my favorite beer, a red IPL.  Its pretty much a delicious red beer with lots of centennial dry hops that was fermented with 830.  Dry, hoppy, and crisp.

Hot and muggy yesterday when I was brewing my stout.  I wonder if the gallon of sweat that dripped into the kettle is why my numbers were off.

I'd much rather brew when it's below 30 F than when it's above 90 F.

today the monsoon has started for us, it was 86F, it was a nice break from June were everyday was above 90F and about 6 or 7 days of above 100F. However, for a native Coloradoan the humidity with the storm is a bit much :)
“Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drank, I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.

I'd be stoked if it were 90 degrees! We've been in triple digits almost constantly since last Friday - add to that  southeast humidity. I definitely picked the wrong week to move.

Going to be over 100 here tomorrow and I came home to no AC.  Hopefully we'll be able to get someone out here to look at it tomorrow.

Yeah, tell me about it.  We'll be living in the basement until it gets fixed.  At least that's where the beer is.

Dude I feel your pain. Three out past four summers in my house the AC crapped out and the temps were 100+! The first time it was nearly three weeks to get it fixed.

So I have a 5500 BTU unit in the master and a 10k unit in the garage waiting to go in the living area as insurance.

BTW it's farking hot here. Only 88f this late at night...

And here in sunny Florida it is 77 outside at 8:30am.  Expected high is 93 or so for the next week.
