Gusty 10mph wind and 54F. Beautiful clear skies. Low humidity. Smoker is smoking and the mash is mashing.

17F with little to no wind.

It was a bit chilly when I was out blowing snow earlier.  Now just watching DVD's (Santa brought a Blu-ray player and a pile of movies).

Winter may have arrived in Tampa.  If I didn't know better I'd say it might snow, but actually it's only about 50F out.  'Just started the burners for a Tripel.

Sunny, 80° F, light Kona winds.  Spent the morning harvesting some horseradish from my garden and grinding it.  I ate 1/4 tsp to see how it is.  It took my breath away.  Just right!

My wife and son are flying off to EWR for three weeks this afternoon.  Forecast is for over a foot of snow in NYC.

Better them than me!

One cold black winter of a Colorado night
it snowed up on Red Mountain Pass

We warned everybody that the slide was runnin'
and that 550 was a mess

But out of the Plow Shed south of town
came a Blade with a flashing blue light

We told that boy whatevah you do
beware of the Riverside slide....

22.6F outside right now, 38.9F in the garage.  A couple of inches of snow in the yard from the past couple of days, but no more in the forecast.  It should be clear and cold for the next few days.

Went "sledding" with the kids today, which consisted of them sitting on a sled and me pulling the sled and running really fast, then whipping them forward and letting go.   They got some ok speed going down a small decline in the backyard, it was a lot of fun for them until one crashed straight into a tree.   :'(

From then on we had "stopping practice", which was the same as above except they jumped off the back whenever they felt like it. ;D
