There's a price to pay to live anywhere. Give up some things - gain others.
I grew up as an Air Force brat, and then as a NASA brat during Apollo. My family lived many places around the world. That allowed me to realize that living wherever you want is just a matter of making up your mind to be there, and then making it happen.
Florida used to be my favorite place in the world, and I lived there for many years. Then my wife and I came to Hawaii on our honeymoon. As soon as I stepped off of the plane I knew this is where I am supposed to be. So I made it happen. This is hands-down my favorite place in the world. I still love Florida, and go back to visit occasionally. I used to enjoy traveling. Not so much anymore. I am really happy waking up in Hawaii, every day.
