Arkansas Brewers

I am going to be moving to Jonesboro, AR very soon and was wondering if there were any homebrewers in the Jonesboro area.

I am certain that there are brewers in Arkansas, but it seems that there aren't many on this forum. I know that James from Basic Brewing is based in Fayetteville, and there are a few clubs scattered about. Try googling for it, although a cursory search returned nothing in the NE Arkansas area.

I'm in OK, but know some of the folks across the border. You've basically have a couple of options in that area. The Hell on the Border Homebrew Club out of Ft. Smith has basically ceased to exist in any organized fashion since the local brewery (Weidman's) went defunct, but a new club has risen from the ashes called the River Valley Ale Raisers which meets at a local shop named Wine Makers Gallery http://www.brewandwinemaker.com The Fayetteville club (James' club) is called Fayetteville Lovers of Pure Suds (FLOPS) http://www.beerhawgs.com who meet at The Home Brewery (Andy's shop) http://www.thehomebrewery.com The only other option is the Central Arkansas Fermenters (CAF) http://www.centralarkansasfermenters.com/ who are based in Little Rock but have members abroad. If you can't find a home in AR... you're more than welcome here: www.alemakers.com

Thanks guys! I start to think I had made a bad move. Jonesboro is a dry city and no beer sold. I did see a Mr. Beer kit in Kmart here so I thought for sure there would be more brewers here. I guess I just have to look a little harder.
