What's the word on Global Malt?
« on: December 13, 2010, 06:55:51 am »
After perusing the Munich malt thread, I started looking at my LHBS's dark Munich offerings.  They stock Global Malt dark munich (20L).  I don't think I've ever used Global Malt.  After taking a look at their site, I discovered that they are a conglomeration of German maltsters.  Does anyone have experience with their malts?  High quality?

The dark Munich is all I've used and I like it's more robust flavor over Munich II. I've only used it 10-20% of the grain bill.

Bird is the word.  ;D

sorry, I couldn't help myself.

if the dunkel TM sent me was with global malt, then yes, it does make a wonderful dunkel.

We used the global pils at New Belgium for this years GABF ProAm entry. Nice light sweetness.
