Bobcats were a great addition to the Saturday morning hog barn cleaning session. Saved a ton of pitch fork time. The tractor with a loader could only fit down the center of the building, the Bobcat could fit in the side isles.
The first Bobcats was built as a walk behind unit by a couple of guys who needed a small loader to do a particular job on their farm. Necessity is the mother of invention. Even with all the wheel waits in place they can get top heavy with the bucket all the way up.
I spent a lot of time on hay wagons growing up. Bailing paid $8.50/hr, bean woalking only paid $6.50/hr. I look back at how hard we worked on those jobs but I think it was easier than corporate IT. Oh well, Merry Christmas!!!
