On a mission from beer......
« on: December 10, 2010, 09:10:04 am »
About to load up a Honda generator and an angle grinder...... Going deep in to Amish country where I have a lead on a metal scrap yard where they don't give you the "insurance rules" crap and just let you go in there and have fun..... Bud of mine was there a few weeks ago and the pictures were blinding....... 8)

"Doesn't have a name yet" is morphing from the mental to the metal stage.......

as long as you've got "a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses".

Aaaaaahhhhhhhh I found NIRVANA...... this place is amazing.....All the steel I needed, 126 pounds, for 60 bucks!!!!!!

And for a moment I thought about this guy..STAINLESS... he could have been had for @1.90 a pound.....imagine the possibilities....

There were many of the smaller ones to it's left.....unfortunately they were all full of water, and frozen solid. The OAT was below freezing, it was flurrying.....Plus I have a lead on a few kegs for not too much....see how that pans out first.

Scooooore two half barrels from the local beer man for $30 each, he even let me pick the two best ones out of the stack, not a dent in them! One had some liquid in it.....it is labeled "Natural Light".... I was not tempted to taste it, and released it into the environment.... Watched a dude remove the feeder tube on Youtube.....(I LOVE Youtube) and now they are rinsed and ready for Dr. Plasma.

Unfortunately there is that pesky little thing called work getting in the way again...... More next week.

Those looks like used dairy tanks in the background.  You could build a commercial brewery with those!
