I get no red X's using firefox.  Using IE I get X's for Cap, Mikey, euge, beersk, and hokerer and I can see the avatars of everyone else that posted in the thread.

ditto

At work (IE) I see red X's - at home (Firefox), all good

URLs are the same for both broken and unbroken avatars. There might be a metadata issue that IE isn't getting. Do you guys remember what the file type of the images you uploaded was?

Those X's you're getting from IE is its way of telling you that you should switch browsers.

Except for the fact that, like akr above, when you're at work, you most likely don't have a choice of browsers.

Everyone's IT policy is different so it depends of course.  But ours is pretty restrictive as far as installing software and firefox works fine here.  Another option is to load firefox onto a usb drive and run it from there.

I don't want to get into browser arguments, but I'd reccommend Chrome over FF over IE.

Still doesn't address the core issue, though.

Not so much "pretty restrictive" if they allow you to connect your thumb drive to your work computer :)

True.  Pretty restrictive from a commercial standpoint I guess.  Not secure/classified restrictive.

If you are using IE8, it doesn't support images created with CMYK color profiles.  IE9 is supposed to fix this.

I haven't changed a thing since a couple days ago but now I can see all (including my own) the avatars that I couldn't see a while back.  Don't know what's going on.

Another weird thing I'm encountering is when I log in the first time it doesn't recognize my password & I have to re-enter it. I know I can't be fat fingering it every time...  Cheers!!!
