Yeast for 2.5 gallons
« on: December 29, 2010, 11:43:07 am »
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, or been addressed already.

If I'm doing a 2.5 gallon batch, do I also cut my yeast in half since the packets are usually for 5 gallon?  Thanks.

Check the pitching rate at http://www.mrmalty.com/calc/calc.html and pitch at the correct rate.  If that's less than a full pack then pitch less than the full pack.
