Muskoka Cream Ale Clone
« on: December 23, 2010, 09:52:37 pm »
Need some help from my brethren here in Ontario.  I am looking for something that will get me close to Muskoka Cream Ale.  Any suggestions?  Extract is all I've done so far.
Thanks.

I've never had a Muskoka Cream Ale, but I'd be interested in finding a recipe for this, too. I'd like to do a cream ale for my next batch, and the descriptions/ratings for this beer look like something I'd enjoy. I'm in the same boat as gmac. Only done and have equipment for extract right now.

I've only had their Dark Ale, so I'm not much help, but I'd start by contacting them.  Most craft/smaller breweries can be really willing to share their recipes.  Even if you can get the basics of a grain bill (types, but maybe not amounts) and hop varieties (and number of additions).

Just a WAG from what I see on their web site, I'd go with 2-row and enough Crystal 60 to get the color right, maybe hop to around 20-25 IBU ?
