Label your keggerator/keezer taps.....
« on: January 03, 2011, 09:43:36 pm »
OK, no picture......can add for the imaginationally impaired if forced....

Wifey had large magentic white sheet......(as in 12x8 inches) I cut 2x2 pieces, and with indelible marker write beer names on them, then slap above faucet. When keggie kicks, put on side of keggerator/keezer until next time. One sheet makes a bunch of them. Not sure where she got it......I'm thinking Staples or Office Max......

Got these from Santa this year.  You can tell which one was from my sun-deprived brother.   :D

oscarvan, I can't imagine what you mean by this.

That's a great idea.
Don't know why I hadn't considered that...It's the only thing I've ever seen OR stafff use to track surgical case location and progress...

I did something similar with the kegerator. It's a small dry erase board magnetically attached to the freezer door just above the taps that are on the fridge door. Not fancy by any means, just functional.  Cheers!!!

Here's a pic.  I use a stainless steel mud pan attached with magnets for the drip pan.

I do the same thing for my drip pan.  The problem I've had with it is it isn't quite wide enough (front to back) to catch everything all the time.  Some day I am going to add a board of some kind to push it a bit further away from the front of the fridge.

Back to the topic... I use business card magnets and print a business card sized label for each beer.  I stick them to the top of the chest freezer behind the tap handles.  This usually keeps them dry (ink jet printer so it smears if wet) and lets your creativity show.  You can get business card forms at Staples, Office Depot, Office Max or anywhere Avery Labels are sold.  They normally carry the magnets too.

I've not had that problem although if the faucet were to be opened w/o a mug under it there would certainly be a mess on the floor. It would definitely overshoot the pan. Drips are no problem. Cheers!!!

Oh, pulled an Immelmann on me did you?   ???
Never trust a pilot with an alter-ego named Zork....
What a balloon buster... :(

For my keezer, which uses only cobra taps, I bought cardboard tags with strings attached...write the beer name on the tag and tie to top of keg.
A friend writes on the keg tops (the rubber part) with a silver sharpie; it rubs off when he cleans the keg.
