SMaSH IPA here as profiled in another thread.  Marris Otter, hop-bursted with Columbus, US-05.

Got a bunch of new gear to try out too - new keggle, 210K BTU burner, and refractometer.  Can't wait - was hoping to have brewed twice over Christmas\New Year's break and did nothing due to sickness spreading around the family.

Saturday is our new club's Huge Brew day, we'll be doing an 80 gal batch of IIPA to fill up a new 3bbl fermenter that one of our members needs to test - he's going pro (he's actually got 4 of them). On his system it takes two mash/boils to fill it so it will be a long, fun day and we'll all bring kegs to fill when it's done.

Brewing my first ever mead - mojito mead.
Mead here too.  Pyment actually. Just a 3 gallon batch. OG 1.124 & pitched Lalvin ICV-K1 (V1116). I'm thinking this one might be good in a year or two. Also moved 5 gallons each of a Doppelbock & Bock to kegs to lager. Cheers!!!
If Homebrew & BBQ aren't the answer, then you're askin' the wrong questions... Cheers!!!

No brewing for me this weekend.  Have to fly to Orlando tomorrow afternoon for a meeting on Monday.  Maybe next weekend...

Brewing a Rye IPA tomorrow.  I'm using flaked rye this time instead of malted rye (about 20%) and will be hopping with Warrior, Amarillo and Santiam.  I hope the spiciness of the rye goes with the spiciness of the hops.  I may ferment half with Belgian Strong yeast for even more spiciness.
Today I added some peppers to a wheat beer and kegged a pilsner.

Finally got the chance to brew my SamCrow Black I.P.A. today. Then did much sampling at the New Mexico Wort Hogs meeting.

Decided to do Northern German Pils instead of Schwarzbier today. Collecting first runnings now. 8)

Will revisit Schwarzbier in a few weeks.

It'll be easy to surpass 2010 because I was only able to brew 30 gallons.  I'm already at 12 gallons in 2011 and have a $100 gift certificate for Northern Brewer.  I may pass up 2010 in February this year.

I am planning on brewing the Caribou Slobber from NB this week and use Wyeast 1450.

Had to go to a conference this weekend, but If I'm not horribly jetlagged I'll be brewing an APA next weekend when I get back to Britain.

At a conference in San Diego last weekend, where my "research" included Stone Vertical Epic, an imperial stout by Lost Abbey, and a couple others. Bottling my Amarillo APA next weekend.

This past saturday I helped a friend brew his first batch of beer. Just a simple extract Nut Brown Ale. Hopefully he will get into brewing as much as I am.
