Euge, the peppers are sprouting, the peppers are sprouting!

Are you planting pepper seeds directly in the garden? If so, I hope you have a long growing season.
First freeze is typically october. Does that count? I know I should have started earlier, but eh.
October is a long ways away. It really depends on the temperature. In my experience, peppers love the heat. I start seeds in January and by about late March ( when I plant) they are 3-4 inches tall, depending on the variety. They're just slow plants. I won't see germination for up to 2 weeks after planting, while other plants sprout in 3-4 days.
One thing about gardening is that you'll learn what grows best in your area, what part of the garden they like the best and so on. I never quit learning and I try new things each year. .
