Whats up everybody? I'm somewhat of a new brewer, I've only "brewed" using Mr. Beer. I have done about 5 or 6 batches and they mostly taste good (Oktoberfest and Irish Stout being my fav). Now, I am ready to actually make some beer. I have searched all over the internet and noticed that most websites do not tell you how old the ingredients are that come with your kit. Also, with so many websites selling home brew supplies, can anyone recommend a site? We do not have a HBS here in this area with the closest one being in Memphis(2 hrs away) or North Little Rock(4 hrs away). Thanks for any help!

Your profile doesn't say where you are, but mentioning Memphis and Little Rock implies that Rebel Brewer http://www.rebelbrewer.com/shoppingcart/ in Goodlettesville, TN could be close.  Lots of folks have good things to say about them.  A little further afield would be Northern Brewer http://www.northernbrewer.com/ and http://www.midwestsupplies.com/ both in Minnesota and who both have lots of turnover pretty much guaranteeing ingredient freshness.

Welcome to the site, these people here know what they're doing.  I also live in an area without an LHBS-the nearest real one is 5 hours away.  I buy almost all my stuff online from morebeer.com, but I have used Austin Homebrew, Midwest Brewing and Northern Brewer.  They are all very solid vendors and I think their kits ingredients should be fresh since they have so much product turnover.

Rebel Brewer has always done me really well. Northern Brewer is fine, too, but the shipping will take longer if your are in Tennessee area.

While you are at it, since you are still "green" you need a good homebrewing book if you haven't one already. Pick up a copy of John Palmer's "How to Brew"
