Silicone is silicone, and as I understand it is basically inert. However, there's other stuff that goes in with it to color it and keep it liquid in the squeezy tube, and some of those will be solvents. I'd read the tube and see what else is in it.
Alterntively, take something hotter than the melting point (soldering iron or a flame) and melt it if you can. Not ideal, but maybe better than the chemicals.
