Finally going to brew the Tangelo Wheat I've been planning on doing for the last month. I've put a couple other batches in front of it and now it is time to brew it! The tangelos are at their peak of ripeness, still hanging on the tree and just waiting to be picked! I'll brew this weekend and then add the tangelo juice next weekend after fermentation stops. Looking forward to drinking this one as the heat rises here in the desert!Any tips on adding fruit juice to secondary? there was an article in Zymurgy last year that said to add 4-8 oz of juice per gallon. Seems like a pretty big spread. I want the tangelo flavor to be pretty evident but not overwhelming. I'm trying to get close to Lost Coast's Tangerine Wheat. Also have to keg an IPA and start drinking a cider. Its hard work....but I got it.
