Looks like the stars are lining up for this weekend and a Belgian WIT will be born.  Plus a smoked turkey.  Takin' advantage of the spring-like weather... Cheers!!!
If Homebrew & BBQ aren't the answer, then you're askin' the wrong questions... Cheers!!!

Finally going to brew the Tangelo Wheat I've been planning on doing for the last month. I've put a couple other batches in front of it and now it is time to brew it! The tangelos are at their peak of ripeness, still hanging on the tree and just waiting to be picked!  I'll brew this weekend and then add the tangelo juice next weekend after fermentation stops. Looking forward to drinking this one as the heat rises here in the desert!

Any tips on adding fruit juice to secondary? there was an article in Zymurgy last year that said to add 4-8 oz of juice per gallon. Seems like a pretty big spread. I want the tangelo flavor to be pretty evident but not overwhelming. I'm trying to get close to Lost Coast's Tangerine Wheat.

Also have to keg an IPA and start drinking a cider. Its hard work....but I got it. :)

Havn't had the lost coast but if I am looking for citrus flavor when cooking I always go with zest. course I guess there are oils to be considered.

If I can squeeze it in it will be a BDS, but I'm not sure it will happen.  There is a narrow window, but a pile of other stuff that has to get done first.

An IPA and an American wheat on Monday. Starters are bubbling happily along this morning.

woot!  used my new recirc arm on my WIC and dropped from boiling to 140 in <5min, and to 43df in 45 total. 1.050 on the nose, pitched before i went to bed, and as of this moment, activity is commencing.

also used my new Monster Mill for the first time.  wow.  :o  My old Barley Crusher is child's play in comparison.

I have today off, so I decided to brew my Rye Pale Ale v2.

Checked my first propane tank and it was empty, pulled out the spare and even tho it is full, it doesn't work. :( Have to go get a refill while mashing.

Have a great day everyone!

Just mashed in on a Belgian Single, and I've got a batch of dunkelweizen to keg during the boil.
