I'm gonna try a new malt called Blackprinz in my India Dark Ale I'm brewing next weekend. Supposed to be a good color malt with a mellow roasty flavor, no astringent, dry aftertaste. Seems like I might as well try it.

I used 1/2 lb. of Carafa 2 in a black ale I made last weekend. A taste from the hydro reading I took today had no astringency and a hardly noticeable roast note. Mostly hops, as intended.
