Beef stew.  Brown the beef right before bed.  Add veggies and such with some water.  Stir.  Set on low heat and leave overnight.  Wake up to beef stew for breakfast.  Make some Bisquick biscuits and serve.

I will be making this tonight.

I totally agree, cooking some of the food beforehand really helps, especially browning meats and heating the spices in some oil.  I also made french onion soup in one once, it turned out very nice.

One large white or yellow onion, coarsely chopped
One handful of celery stalks, chopped
Heavy dose of ground pepper
A little salt
3# pork loin roast set on a bed of the above
Cook low for 10 to 12 hours
Pull apart, stir to mix & place on Kings Hawaiian sweet rolls with your choice of bbq sauce
(I love to use southern mustard bbq sauces)

I do use my crockpot sometimes to do lamb curry.  I can put it in the garage so that the whole house doesn't smell like the lobby of a cheap motel.

Late to the party, but the crock is good for any meat which would otherwise be kinda tough. You do have to watch it and not add too much liquid to the party. We did a pork butt a week or so ago and I didn't add any water and still ended up having to ditch some of the liquid when all was said and done. Made a for a really easy pulled pork and I never had to light the smoker. Wetter and not the same, but delicious nonetheless.

All I was looking for was to get recipes and to get a rise out of Cap. Mission accomplished. I was disappointed with a crock pot recipe for quail, why would anyone do that?  I did.(not proud of this)  It was nice to get some ideas from ya on how to get my crock pot to work for me. Thank you
