Welcome to parenthood...... Sounds like you kept your head about you and made all the right calls. ..... go ahead, have that homebrew. You deserve it.

The scariest part is knowing that it's possible to have made the -wrong- decision. But, I can't keep him in a bubble, so no use in worrying about what might happen.

Thanks for the support, guys. Feeling a little better about everything.

Parenthood-wise, that which doesn't kill you makes you (and yours) stronger... truely.

Being the father to a son is, hands down, the best thing in my life so far, and at times, the scariest too.

Good for you for following your gut and doing the right thing!

I'm glad it all worked out for the best and thank goodness for a rational healthcare system. My little guy is only 13 weeks and it freaks me out when he is super gassy and can't stop crying. I can't even imagine. I hope, if something like this were to happen, that I could keep my head as well as you did!

I am glad that everything worked out eventually. I have a 7month old and a 4 year old. Let me tell you I spend a lot of my day cringing when I look away for a sec. and the baby starts crying and the older one looks at me like "What?"

I'll share a pint with you.
