St. Paddy's day
« on: February 21, 2011, 07:25:24 pm »
Anybody brewing anything special for St. Patrick's day? I am going to try to brew an Irish Red Ale this weekend so it will be ready in time.

Happy Brewing!

Just kegged an oatmeal stout on Saturday.  Will be tapping it on 3/17 while making corned beef and cabbage. ;D

Sounds great Matt.

What times dinner?   ;) :)

I have an ESB that will be kegged and ready just in time for the festivities.

I kegged my annual Irish Red (The Red Headed Slut) a week before the Super Bowl (10 gal).  The first keg broke last Sunday.  This may be the second year in a row the Red runs out BEFORE March 17th.  I need to brew more - or later.

No Irish decent here, so I got nothin'.  Oh, right, I'm being too literal.

That some sort or Freudian slip showing your feelings about the Irish?  :)

It falls on the same weekend the NCAA basketball tourney begins! I'll have my Slam Dunkel on tap. I usually have either a Dry Stout or Irish Red for the occasion, but I haven't brewed since November b/c we have been readying for a move to a new house. The move was last weekend and I plan to brew again in two weeks!  It'll probably be the Irish Red, but not in time for the 17th.

I'll be in Phoenix helping my mom move, so I guess I'll just have to see what I can find.

Got a batch of Oatmeal Stout bottled up last night (and a batch of Belgian Dubbel, not that that has anything to do with St Paddy's) so I should be good to go.
