Lovibond chart
« on: February 27, 2011, 12:53:12 pm »
I have been roasting a lot of grain at home and was wondering if there is a good color chart for lovibond? I can locate them for beer but not for grain. Is it the same chart?  It would save me a lot of trips to the brew shop to compair colors and help me from over shooting the mark from time to time.

that's all well and good but if I had that sort of time I would have done that already. Is there a chart some place?

IIRC there's some samples inside the front cover of John Palmer's book. Also I have an iPhone app called BrewMath that has a color sampler in it, but it doesn't reflect copper tones. Still a good indication though.

And then there's this:
