Bigger oxygen bottles
« on: March 12, 2011, 02:09:18 pm »
I just picked up some Benzomatic oxygen bottles, and, for the same price, they now contain 50% more oxygen and are quite a bit bigger.

I got 15 or 16 batches from the old size bottles; I bet I can get 20 or more out of these ones.

I contemplated buying an O2 tank- the wanted 90 bucks for the bottle and another 20 for the gas. Never even got to the regulator! I think I'll stick with the home depot bottles and airstone reg. Anyone got any ideas how to build an in-line aireater?

How do you chill?

I use a plate chiller and placed a T after it with a MoreBeer stone. The hose is clear vinyl so I can see the bubbles and adjust accordingly.

3/8"Countertflow WC pushed by a March pump coming from my BK. Using your method I would have to Step up to 1/2" coming out of the chiller. Sounds simple enough... Thanks!
