Where are you from?
« on: November 13, 2009, 08:07:23 am »
Oh wise moderators of the forum....

Would it be possible or desireable to include where a person is from, based in the profile setup, under their name when they post to the forums...maybe right below their "rank", instead of having to click on their profile?

Thanks.

Yeah, that's on the list.  From what I hear, there's a software upgrade on the way that will allow us to do that.

Cool.  I came here to ask the same question.  It's cool to see where people are from and get their regional perspective.  This is especially true for international members.  Also, it's cool to let people know I'm from Boring, OR

Really?  Do you know Ken Johnson (I think that's his name).  Or ARE you him?

Any update on this?  I notice that a few people do have their location under their names when they post, but most don't.

There was word that we were due for a software update that would do this.  I haven't heard any more about it since Gary got back from his paternity leave.  I'll see what I can find out, but in the meantime people can simply add the info to their signature in their profile.
