Great Divide 17th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA

Really enjoyed this annual treat from Great Divide. I got a bomber that was bottled only a week before I tried it so it was nice and fresh. Aroma was very floral and hoppy with a touch of a wood. The front of the beer was sweet with vanilla and a bourbon wood taste that balanced very well with the bitter hoppy end. As the beer warmed the tastes changed more to the woody vanilla whiskey flavors. At 10% the alcohol was hidden very well by this balanced beer. It was a great sipper to enjoy on a wet snowy Colorado spring day.
