Once a year birthday meal...
« on: April 10, 2011, 07:22:50 pm »
In about 10 minutes I'll sit down to a feast of homemade chicken fried steak with cream gravy, mashed potatoes, collards, and buttermilk biscuits.  Reminds me of the part of my childhood I spent in Texas.  This only happens once a year and is so worth waiting for the other 364 days.

Sounds like some good grub for sure!  Nothing like good ol' home-style cookin'! Happy belated Birthday BTW.  Cheers!!!
If Homebrew & BBQ aren't the answer, then you're askin' the wrong questions... Cheers!!!

It was a great meal and it gets better year after year as my wife refines her recipes.  Heck, this year the collards just about stole the show.

The music of choice during dinner was Lightnin' Hopkins.  Washed it all down with a KBS ('09).  A pretty dang great night.
