My first all-grain brew , a tripel
« on: April 08, 2011, 08:53:43 pm »
I ust sampled my first all grain brew, a belgian style tripel, and holy crap, was it good!  A little weak on carbonation, (only been bottled for a week, I used corn sugar) but damn, I think I nailed it on the first try!  Sorry, I just had to boast a little!  Thanks to all who gave me advise on the recipe and mash, I don't think it would have been as good without you guys! ;D

Thanks, I really love a good belgian.  Been drinking them for years, it's what truly started me in homebrewing. I'm super stoked my first came out so well!

I'm going to try an abbey, or maybe the biere de garde featured on the home page here.

You have every right to be proud.  Heck, I was proud of my first batch which was just a kit (add water, sugar, yeast: viola!).
You just did something I'm still working my way towards.
Congrats on not just going all grain, but doing it big!  :)

Congrats on the success!  In addition to the question about what your next beer is...the other big question is what's going to be your next toy for the brew system?

Congrats! Not a lot of things are as satisfying as whipping up a killer homebrew. Now get brewing!

I think I'm gonna build a brew bench, or buy a conical fermenter, haven't decided yet.
