NHC First Round Needs Judges!
« on: April 15, 2011, 11:17:15 am »
Hi everyone,

Attention all BJCP judges and also all experienced judges!

Out of 6 competitions started in the first two weekends, only 3 have finished. This weekend we are trying to finish the competitions in progress, as well as start and complete the last 3 competitions.  We need judging help to finish these 2 competitions:

Albany, NY Judging at the Albany Pump Station (http://www.evansale.com/) in Albany this weekend.  Food will be provided.  Contact Jim Kehrer (Jim_Kehrer@nycap.rr.com) or Reed Antis (oosb@verizon.net) to volunteer as a judge or steward.

Dallas, TX Judging at the Coors Distributing Co.(http://www.coorsfortworth.com/) in Fort Worth, TX this weekend.  Food will be provided.  Contact Jimmy Orkin (jimmy@orkinracing.com) or Leroy Gharis (lgharis@swbell.net) to volunteer as a judge or steward.

We also need volunteers to help with these competitions which are starting this weekend (April 15-17):

Nashville, TN Judging at the Courtyard Marriott (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bnagv-courtyard-nashville-goodlettsville/) in Goodlettsville, TN this weekend.  Food will be provided.  Contact Jonathan Adams (bigjohn3957@gmail.com) or Brandon Jones (nashvillenhc@gmail.com) to volunteer as a judge or steward.

Indianapolis, IN Judging at the Sun King Brewing Co. (http://www.sunkingbrewing.com/) in Indianapolis this weekend.  Food will be provided.  Contact Ron Smith (ronsmith@marketwisesolutions.com) or Brian Steuerwald (blsteuerwald@aol.com) to volunteer as a judge or steward.

Lodi, CA Judging at the Lodi Beer Co. (http://www.lodibeercompany.com/) in Lodi, CA this weekend.  Food will be provided.  Contact Brian Cooper (brewerbrian@sbcglobal.net) to volunteer as a judge or steward.

Wondering whether your beer has been judged yet?  Check out the NHC First Round Competition status on the main NHC page (http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/competitions/national-homebrew-competition).  None of the competition results will be posted until the results of all 9 U.S. First Round competitions and the results of the Canadian qualifier competition can be posted simultaneously; so let's finish these competitions!  First Round results will be posted here: http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/competitions/national-homebrew-competition/winners) within 2 weeks of the last competition finishing their judging.

THANKS FOR VOLUNTEERING!

Cheers,
    Janis
