Dale's Pale Ale
« on: April 15, 2011, 07:21:04 pm »
I just had one of Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale and have to say I was pleasantly suprised at the overall impression of this very fine ale.

This beer hits you with a multi dimensional hop profile and a very supportive malt balance. The hops come through in the finish showing good freshness. I could have a few more but only bought one can. It was somewhat surprising to taste a fine ale coming out of a can but my hat's off to Oskar Blues.

I give it an overall score of 43 of 50.

+1 Wouldn't know how to score it but that is one badass ale. Price has gone up too. I aspire to brew something this good. Been drinking it for several years now. Sometimes it's a tad metallic but I attribute this to the hops.

I've heard there are quite a few breweries putting decent beer in cans nowadays. ;)

Gotta love the Dale's.  Take this on our tubing/camping trip every year in Harpers Ferry since it came out.  Definitely on the sweeter side, but I'd still never turn one down.
