If you allergic to them, you should stay away from them... not good if they are 'clogging' you up, but think about if you eat these with something else that you are or are not allergic to... it could cause an even worse reaction... and don't add them to your beer...

From what I've seen, maybe just a bit larger than normal.  I think I'm gonna try to grow some this year.  I LOVE radishes!

What kind of spacing requirements are there? I've perhaps got some room next to my carrots...

Never having grown them, I really don't know.  I'd say you just plant them like other radishes, then thin as necessary.

We really liked the big white radishes in the Biergartens in Munich.  Those were great with the Mass of Helles, a Bretszel, and some Obatzda.  Yum.

I got some of these in my CSA box a few weeks ago. They ranged from slightly larger than a 'normal' radish to the size of a pool ball. Sliced them thin and did a quick pickle. yum. also if you slice them thin and float them on cold water they fold up into little rosets. pretty

I know you're right, but I love them.  It's the same thing with the almonds I grow.  As long as I don't eat but a couple it's no worse than a coarse tickle in my throat.  If I eat more than a few the sinus cavities fill up and the snot starts to flow.

Nice! I knew you'd come through. They ought to be pretty zippy after a week or so.

I love a good raddish. Grew a buttload in our garden last year. Raw, in some ranch dressing is my favorite. And nothing beats a good raddish fart!  ;D

I like'm when you get a little afterburn. I prefer them raw with a dash of salt. Kinda like eating a mini apple. Tasty little red devils.

Great in salads as well.

It's easy. Grate cheddar or American cheese. Mix well with mayonnaise and drained pimentos. Personally, I prefer the store-bought with jalapeƱos.
