I like cats. I don't like free roaming cats. Some info here: http://library.fws.gov/bird_publications/songbrd.html

That's a dwarf rabbit, isn't it?

We have one.  Merlin thinks himself a cat, and acts like one too.  We often find him curled up and sleeping with the kittens.
There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way.

Actually that is a baby wild cottontail I have a tradition of catching
one every year and bringing it to my wife so she can have ewwwww and ahhhhhh time....

Yeah my cat sits @ the glass door watching the bird feeder and
wanting SOOOOOOO bad to get her paws on the feathered denzions.
She would not know what to do if she were outside since she has never
been out more than a few minutes in her 6 years of life.
Feral Cats make good target practice.

I was looking through the meat isle at our local Wegmans and saw they had dressed rabbits for $35 apiece.  :o

That's crazy!  I like rabbit but there's no way I'd pay $35 for one.

Same here, my cat is always meowing funnily at the birds and squirrels out the window.  He wouldn't know what to do with them if he got out, I don't think.  He's 9 years old and has only been out a few times ever, when he's been able to sneak out (that little bugger).

Maxieboy, you should be more worried about squirrels than cats. Squirrels will make songbirds disappear way faster than cats.

!!!!

They're 5-7 euro/kg here. $35??? I guess if 1. you don't have a lot of demand for them and 2. they're fed on gold leaf-wrapped Japanese pygmy carrots, you could justify the price... I mean it's not like they're hard to raise.

True, but they've been part of the food chain here in the US, unlike cats. Funny you bring it up, I'm planning to get back into squirrel hunting this year!
