Double Bastard

Double Bastard.

*ding* Weighs in at 11.2% this darkly malted bitter brew. Alcohol heat followed by sweet then by grapefruit. Dry and a bit harsh, both from the alcohol and the hops.

I'm going to revisit this with a charcoal grilled bone in ribeye.

I don't really have any tasting notes on this beer as it was consumed in one sitting haha... Thought the picture was worth a post though. This bottle was 3qt. 5oz. and 10%abv was from about 4 or 5 years ago. I thought the padlock was an awesome addition for Stone to make on such a unique bottle.

The aftermath:

What? I can't eat the whole thing. The beer goes well with fatty steak. And stinky cheese. Bold beer calls for bold measures.
