"World's first whisky beer"? It's called wash, it's been done lots.
I'd try it, but I expect to dislike it. A lot. I really like whiskys of all sorts of peat levels, but I've never had a peated beer that was very good.
I was thinking about this the other day, as I was silly enough to order 250g of peated malt about a year ago (before I became an AHA member and learned better). I wonder what it'd be like in a really roasty stout, or maybe in an RIS? In my mind peat and hop just do not go well together so a peated IPA would be death.
The other option would be something like a Geuze - that's got weird flavor to begin with, so why not?
