I use a long 10ML glass pipet with a pipet bulb then a few drops on the refractometer, then I run the numbers through the morebeer refractometer spreadsheet found at http://morebeer.com/public/beer/refractbeer.xls

Good idea. Bad spreadsheet. ;D

Yes, I switched to Sean's spreadsheet too, it's much better than the others.

I still owe you data Sean, but I haven't had time to do any testing.  15 days until my defense. ;)

That's an acceptable excuse... for now.

Good luck!

Practice went well, but illustrated how much I have to do before the next practice.  I'm going to go mostly hide again.  Starting tomorrow.

I'm getting one of those.  I frequently ferment sour beers and messing with plastic will lead to trouble.

In the past I tried to measure FG with my vee gee refractometer but the reading was way off.  I had no idea there were correction sheets for the refractometer.

Thanks for the heads-up guys..

Uh-oh time is a ticking.  ;D

I use a sanitized glass wine thief. I've been using the same one for about five years now. (knock-on-wood)  :)
