Why I'm an AHA member (and why you should be too)
« on: May 09, 2011, 08:49:33 am »
Fellow AHA members, we all know some great homebrewers out there.  And we also know that many of them are not members of the AHA.  Whether they've let their membership lapse, or they've never signed up, it's time for us to tell them why to join.

Michael Dawson from Northern Brewer (my co-host on Brewing TV and office-mate at Northern Brewer) finally pulled trigger on joining the AHA after being a homebrewer for 17 years!  Read his story as to why he waited so long, and how he finally saw the light:

http://northernbrewer.blogspot.com/2011/05/why-i-am-aha-member-and-you-should-be.html

It's an empowering call to become a member, and I encourage you all to pass it along, and/or take up the effort and spirit and get every last homebrewer signed up!

cheers

Right on Jake! On a related note, virtually every time I look at who's online on this board, the guests outnumber members! C'mon peeps, quit treating nickels like manhole covers and join up!  8)

I'm fairly sure that refers to registered users of the forum online versus unregistered users, not AHA member status.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I have been a member for about 10 years now and it's worth.  I like to support the organization that champions homebrewing and its causes.

President of the local homebrew club.  We held an AHA rally at our new brewery recently and I decided that I needed to lead from the front.  Life membership - many of my attending club members went for membership - with a few going for a 3 year option.

Man up indeed!  If you believe in something and act like a leader, others will follow.

Got ya covered, I whole heartedly encourage anyone who is not a member to sign up!  I've already gotten my money's worth with the local pub discounts!  Worth every penny!

There's no better way to support our community and to show how you can support our cause. Join the craft beer movement. Join the AHA!

Do it now!

Cheers!  8)
