Bottling my lemongrass-rye cream ale and hopefully brewing the Nutty Man southern english brown from Brewing Classic Styles as part of my brew-through of that book.

I finally have a weekend to brew again.  So... I'm making a Oktoberfest and an Amber this weekend.  I know I'm late on the O-fest but I didn't have any other choice.

I also need to clean 6 kegs and try to finish my new grain mill cart.  My wife an one daughter will be out of town.  another daughter is buried in school projects and my oldest daughter and my son can drive themselves around so I might actually get some this done.

I don't think I'll get any fishing done though.

Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?

Brewing my tweaked Ranger inspired IPA tomorrow. Probably scrubbing bottles, too. Which is still better than scraping and painting the basement.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Going to attempt a Dogfish Head Shelter Pale Ale clone. Can't get DFH out here on the Left Coast, figured I would try to get a facsimile.

No brewing for me this weekend.  I have a 'Meet & Greet' with the members of the Flying Bike Cooperative brewery on Saturday, and I'll probably sample my Chamomile Ale to see how it's coming along (in kegs for 2 weeks now - I think I may need to dry hop w/ a bit more chamomile).

Did a janet's Brown Ale today.  It went well, no screw ups, not one swear word.  5 hours and 15 minutes for a 10 gallon batch.  pH was right on the money as predicted by Bru'nwater.  Gravity was one point low.  Fermantation signs are evident 7 hours later.  Sometimes it all goes right.

Just a day of bottling a California common and porter that I like to have on hand. No brewing until next weekend as I'm out of stock.... Have to hit the brew shop next week.  :-\

I was wrong.  A few more days maturing and the chamomile flavor is coming through just right.  It even has a bit of a honey character to it.  :)

I'll be bottling some either tonight or tomorrow to bring to my homebrew club meeting this Friday.  Saturday I may keg my latest IPA.  I haven't decided yet if I'm giving it another week in the fermenter yet or not.  Probabaly not.  I need some more variety on tap.  ;)
