I was quite impressed with his ingenuity.

Does anyone have a good lead on empty beer cases? I don't want to keep putting my beer in the empty twelve packs from my bottle supply.

Ask at grocery stores, drug stores, liquor/beer stores, anyplace that sells beer. At most retail establishments the case boxes just go into the recycling bin.

Also, while more places are compressing and baling their cardboard waste, there are still enough businesses that are just throwing their cardboard boxes into the dumpster out back. A bit of dumpster diving might rewarding.
