I love Odells beers and Myrcenary is great, but they've been rubbing me the wrong way lately. At tastings I like to ask a lot of questions, and after tasting Myrcenary, and LOVING the hop profile, I asked the guy serving (an Odell brewer) what hops they used and a rough outline of bittering vs aroma hops. "Umm, yeah I can't really say." What? I'm not going to rip off your beer. "Sorry, trade secret". Humph.
That's a whole 'nother story in and of itself about why some brewers keep secret about stuff. If it's good, it's gonna sell, and if someone tries making the same thing, then beat them. Whatever.
Sorry, back to the topic...

Avant peche is pretty good stuff. I was expecting more tartness and peach flavor, but the balance is really nice (even though it doesn't seem like all that will go well together). Odell is pretty proud of their beers ($$) but it's pretty high quality stuff. And yes, their regular IPA is my favorite Colorado IPA (although modis hoperandi is a close second and it's in CANS)
