An all-grain Hefeweizen on Monday while I remember all of those veterans of wars. I made a starter Friday. Since I was never in the service, I'm grateful for their service.

How many homebrewing service personnel brew while on active duty?  Having a carboy in the barracks is probably impractical and frowned upon.

Mine got cancelled because the yeast blend wasn't available.
Congratulations on your new daughter!

I'm doing an IPA with some El Dorado hops instead.  Smells great in the back yard today.

Congratulations!  You can always post the stats of that creation, instead of the one you intended for today. ;)

Congrats!  Is this your first or second?  My wife and I just had our second (a daughter) in March.  I've found that I was able to stay sane by relying on family to help out (which they were more than willing to do) and to find some time to brew.  The brewing really helped me stay sane for the first few weeks.

This is the second. We have a son who is nearly four.

That ESB that I never got around to last weekend is in the fermenter.  Still got a few degrees of cooling to go before I can pitch.

Heating the strike water in the kitchen but concerned about how windy it has become, despite weather reports to the contrary. Could defer until Thursday, first day of vacation. The other option is go for it and do a split boil on the stove. Have a few minutes to decide.

Edit: I think alikocho brought us all good luck! The wind died down and it was a wonderful brew session--relaxing, fun, learned a little more, was able to get other things done and even finish up ahead of schedule, and now have 3 gallons of my umpty-ump attempt at Two-Hearted Ale in the fermenter. Congrats alikocho.

Brisket, chicken, and ribs.  Oh, brewing you say, that saison that I was supposed to do last weekend will be done this weekend, dang it! ;)

Congratulations on your new daughter.  Can you say wrapped?  You will be.   ;)  I speak from experience.  10 gallons of saison happily bubbling away. ;D
