My Newest Assistant Brewer
« on: May 26, 2011, 09:07:42 am »
Emersyn Ela Gres, born 5/25/2011 at exactly 10am. 7 lbs, 6 oz and 18 inches long. Mom's ready for a homebrew and requested a Kolsch. It's been cold-conditioning for two weeks. That will have to be good enough this time. I'll try to post a pic after we get home from the hospital.

A cool English house-brewing tradition, carried on by a few homebrewers, is to brew a barleywine for the child, to be aged until his/her 21st birthday. Of course, you're probably going to be too busy to brew much.

I was planning on doing this actually. It may be a bit before I find the time, but I'm already pondering the recipe.

Thanks again for all the kind words. Cheers!
