Alan "Mr. Fabulous' Rubin passed away on June 8.  RIP Mr. Fabulous.

I guess Jake came and told him they are getting the band back together...  Man, can you imagine the horn section he's playin' in now?
There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way.

Holy crap!  No way!  The music world is a much poorer place, without Mr. Fabulous.  I truly loved the Blues Brothers, and Alan made that group happen. Wow. Never will there be again a trumpet player of his quality.
I have a Blues Brothers tattoo, and his face is on it, along with all the others.  Truly, a sad day. RIP

They actually toured rather extensively, I have several live albums of theirs
