OK, the cart part is done. A pair of replacement wheel barrel handles, some steel and some carriage bolts. The height of the handles is adjustable so as the load changes (3 full kegs to 2 almost empties would be the range) you can adjust so it's always at a comfortable ride height for any person, and they fold down for transportation. Now all that's left it the taps.

Well done sir. Well done...

Why not taps forward?

Well done sir. Well done...

Why not taps forward?

Good question, and I thought about it for a long time......a few reasons:

1 To maintain as much of a period look as possible for medieval applications.
2 The handles fold down to the back and this way all the pointy things are on one side during transportation. It either rides in a trailer, or on a hitch carrier, depending on whether the camper is coming too, etc. When on the hitch carrier the taps could potentially end up in my tail gate if facing forward....no bueno.
3 This way the driver/bartender has control over them. If they stick out to the front I would have to come from behind the handles to serve, which is a pain, or let people serve themselves and watch them carefully open the tap a little bit, only to produce a load of foam, which irks me to no end....so QC, I drive, I tap.

Speaking of foam, I wonder if moving it around on the wheels will cause so much agitation that you only get foam anyway?  That'd be a bummer.
Is that a counter-pressure bottle filler in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Well, during "testing" this weekend it worked fine, BUT..... it was full, so there wasn't a whole lot of volume above the beer. Any increase in pressure from shaking quickly went back into solution. Don't know what will happen when the barrels are half empty.....

Of course you are tapping from the bottom of the barrel, so liquid only.... My plan is to disconnect the pressure line and tap until settled out again when moving.

It's a work in progress.....
