Long time lurker, first time poster (how often do these start with that?) My name is Ethan, I'm from Northern Virginia (across the river from DC). I've been a homebrewer for 2, almost 3 years, and consistently and seriously for the past year. I'm currently brewing 10 gallon batches doing BIAB and I'm slowly getting the pieces together for a stainless steel three-vessel system. I've just recently completed my first keezer build and started kegging, which has been fantastic.
I tend to brew every couple of weeks, brewing mostly American style IPAs, pale ales, ambers, stouts, and porters, but I also love brewing saisons and will be taking advantage of the cooling temperatures to brew some lagers (my fermenters are on our glassed-in porch). I've also just recently started 4 long term sour/wild projects in addition to my usual brewing.
This forum and all of the folks contributing to it have been amazingly helpful in furthering my knowledge, I see great discussions here, it seems you really do learn something new every day.
