Cool map, I haven't seen that.  Thanks Sean.  It might need updating though, we're pushing 150 breweries in WA, with fewer than 7 million people.  That qualifies us for 20+ status.

You're right, it's from the BA's 2008 membership, so it's getting a little long in the tooth.

Michigan should change to a darker color soon.  The state is gaining breweries quickly, and was the only state to lose population in the last census.  We are gaining on the numerator and the denominator!

I think it is fantastic that we (here in the US)
seem to be trending back toward more and more local breweries
almost everywhere.

Interesting that in bluesmans map, the south has a caveat of being "bourbon country" :)
