Restocking Amsterdam Style.....
« on: July 13, 2011, 01:57:10 pm »
So I'm sitting in Amsterdam in one of my hangouts drinking a LaChouffe (bottled) when I overhear that the Heineken is "out" but a delivery is imminent.... on a Sunday no less. A few minutes later a truck shows up and the driver runs a 3" hose out into the place, down the stairs into the basement. I hear the noise of a lot of CO2 being bled (what's YOUR footprint?) and he hooks up, goes to the truck and get's it flowing. He come back inside and discusses with the bar people how much they want..... well, they have 2 1000 liter tanks, and they decide to top them both off..... that's 500 gallons of beer..... delivered in 20 minutes..... wow.

(excuse the bad cellphone pics......)

That's like a portable fire hydrant full of beer.

Easy to deliver beer. I hope they clean those tanks occasionally.
