this forum is awesome
« on: July 24, 2011, 07:03:20 pm »
i thank everyone for the responses I've gotten for whatever i've posted so far.  and for whatever you post.

i brewed a wheat porter today and hit my target OG like nobody's business.  i used some new techniques i've read about here and have refined my brewing process thanks to all you wonderful people and your experiences.  i should have joined long ago.

I've brewed maybe 10 batches over a year an a half(3 in the last 6 weeks) and each one gets better.  now that I'm with you folks, i can't wait to brew again.  next week i'm doing an imperial ipa!

i'm hooked on this thing we call brewing.

good vibes to all brewers.

cheers.

I'd agree that a good forum is maybe the single best resource you can have as a home brewer.

I agree wholeheartedly. This forum and it's readers/posters is a true gem. It's so refreshing to find actual kindness on the interwebs these days.

There are several good forums and I've found them all to have very friendly, helpful people.  This one happens to have some of the most technically savvy folks on any forum.

Welcome to the AHA forum sparkleberry.

If I must say so myself, this forum is one of the best homebrewing forums in the great wide world of interweblactic brewing.

Cheers!

SN has some of the best beers around...and it's not just one but most of their recipes are just fantastic.

The folks this board and Northern Brewer's forum have helped me become a much more successful brewer.

They have also gotten me to roast my own coffee, start playing around with smoking meats, read a few books I would never have found without their suggestions and made me more popular and better looking.   ;)

All kidding aside, we can learn a lot for each other.

Thanks!

Very true, the more of my good brew the wife drinks, the better she says I look.

This is a great forum.  Some of the best technical advice I've found on the web.  Also, the camaraderie on this forum is unmatched; you'll rarely find trollish, antagonistic posts.

YOU talking to ME? Just kidding. I agree. I am a moderator on another (not brewing related) forum and I am amazed at how people will say something from behind a keyboard that they most likely would never say to your face. Mods here have a handle on how it should be done!
