My buddies Cenntenials are ready, so we're going to do a wet (fresh) hop IPA on Sun.

Looks like I'll have the time to put a double batch of IPA together.  I haven't brewed all summer and I'm starting to run low.  Had to put down one of the pack this week.  She had been sick for a couple of months (cancer).  Hurt her back a couple of weeks ago and was having a rough time getting around.  RIP Rennie :'(    She's the tricolor Aussie shepard in the back.

so sorry Jim - RIP Rennie!

So sorry, it always bums me out to hear this kind of thing.

Thanks for all of the well-wishing everyone, I am honestly not that concerned.  They generally don't let you defend if they're not ready for you to graduate, and I've never heard of anyone failing.  That's not to say I'm not stressed, but it is more than kind of stress that comes when you have a lot of work to get done, rather than the pass/fail kind.

I have to admit, despite being an atheist, there is a small part of me that hopes I'm wrong so I can see all my furry buddies on the other side.

Yep, I like to think that somewhere in the multiverse they are still playing till we meet again.

"Through the Wormhole" had a episode re: life after death.

Today if the weather looks good I have plans for a hoppy Belgian Strong Blond, friday we brewed our Festivus (Oktoberfest).

I assume you're talking about your PhD.

Best of luck Tom.  :)

I couldn't stand it, I had to brew something yesterday.  I had used the last of my quarts of starter wort so I brewed some more.  Got 11 quarts for my efforts.

Going to brew a saison on Wednesday which would be my Saturday. Unfortunately my plans have just been placed in limbo. May have an unwelcome visitor Friday. Hurricane Saison would be fitting if I do get to brew, but being in the weather business will be busy over the next several days.
