Whirlfloc and High OG ?
« on: December 30, 2009, 09:48:04 am »
1 tab per 10 gallons, right?

What about a beer where the OG is twice that of a normal OG beer?  Does the usage rate double too?

Well, I used the recommended amount on my 1.110 Barleywine this morning and it was clear enough.

I can't imagine why it would, but I haven't used it in that high an OG to know from experience.

Why not?  Do you use nothing or something else?

No, I use Whirlfloc in every batch.  But the highest gravity I've used it on has been about 1.090-95.
