I was wondering if anybody had recipes or suggestions for an all grain Imperial IPA.  Thanks for the help.

lately, i've been digging the amarillo/simcoe hop combo with a third thown in....  centennial, chinook, or warrior....

That's one of my favorites as well.  Goes well with Chinook, Centennial or Magnum IMHO.

The dry hop schedule in Pliny the Elder is making the hair on my pinky toe stand up.

I wish we could get some Russian River Beers out here in Delaware.

I was hoping for something larger, I have a system that will do 2 different 10 gallon batches at the same time.  The plan was to maximize the amount of grain in each mash tun (approx 35 pounds per) rest for 90 min.  Collect about 11-12 gallons of wort per mash tun.  Boil for 90-120 minutes or however long it takes to get down to about 8 gallons per boil while adding hops throughout the whole experiment. 

That is the plan except I am not exactly sure what ingredients I will use but am thinking about a pile of golden promise malt, some crystal 50-60 and maybe one or two more.  Hops being magnum, amarillo and simcoe or whatever else I can find at the LHBS.  Followed up with dry hopping with more amarillo and simcoe. 

Obviously this plan needs some refinement and I should probably get a copy of Promash soon, but what does everybody think, ridiculous, doable?  What would you change or add?  Thanks

This description is very close to the Furious clone kit from Midwest, just bump up the ingredients to your target OG.  This is my favorite IPA, hands down.

11 lbs Golden Promise
1 lb Munich (10L)
4 oz Medium Crystal
mash @154*

1 oz Warrior @ 60 min
blend 1 oz Amarillo/ 1 oz Simcoe
add equal parts @ 20, 15, 10, 5, and 0 min
1 oz Amarillo - Dry Hop
1 oz Simcoe - Dry Hop
1 oz Ahtanum - Dry Hop

Dry Hop 10-14 days into fermentation
Bottle/Keg 7 days after dry Hop

Primary: Ale So Brown, Blasphemy, Incriminating ESB,
Bottled: Amarillo IPA, Rosie's Majestic Ale, Elevenses
On Deck: Tanglefoot, BVIP Iter.#2

That is the beer that it is modeled after.  We make and drink a lot of the ferocious (as it is labeled from Midwest Supplies).
